October 10, 2005In the wake of the huge success of SAXON's "25th Anniversary of NWOBHM" German tour, where the British heavy metal legends played only the classic hits they recorded during the 1980s, the band have decided to do some more of these special club shows in December 2005. Confirmed "25th Anniversary of NWOBHM" dates are as follows:
Dec. 03 - Stockholm, SWE @ Globen - Annexet (Sweden Rock Kick Off)
Dec. 05 - Copenhagen, DEN @ Pumpehuset
Dec. 06 - Hannover, GER @ Capitol
Dec. 07 - Düsseldorf, GER @ Tor 3
Dec. 09 - Fulda, GER @ KUZ Kreuz
Dec. 10 - Karlsruhe, GER @ Schwarzwaldhalle (Festival)
Dec. 11 - Nürnberg, GER @ Hirsch
Dec. 12 - Aschaffenburg, GER @ Colos Saal
Dec. 14 - Praha, CZR @ Sazka Arena (Festival)
Dec. 16 - Pratteln, SWI @ Z7

As previously reported, SAXON were originally slated to embark on an American tour in May but ended up cancelling the dates as a result of the group's frontman, Biff Byford, wanting to stay by his family's side after his house in the Normandie area of France burned down.
SAXON are continuing to tour in support of their latest CD, "Lionheart", available now on SPV Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Killing Ground" features artwork by Paul R. Gregory, who has previously worked with the group on the now classic "Crusader" album.
